MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) is a facility used to regenerate and re-purify mono-ethylene glycol (MEG) which is continuously injected into subsea wells and production facilities on the surface. The purpose of mono-ethylene glycol (MEG) injection is to prevent the formation of natural gas hydrates in subsea production pipelines and natural gas processing facilities on the surface. The lean quality of MEG as a product of the MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) is very important for safe and efficient use. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of rich MEG into the MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) on the quality of MEG lean products, and also to determine the performance value of the MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) itself. Data collection techniques used are literature studies and field surveys. The data that is processed is sourced from manufacture data, MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) daily operation data and MEG lean inventory and consumption data. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) was able to produce lean MEG products with a level of cleanliness according to the Class 8 BF specifications, the lowest possible TDS and a normal pH of 6.5 – 8.5 if the concentration of rich MEG was entered according to the design which is between 21 – 28% wt. When the incoming rich MEG concentration exceeds the design's highest value (28% wt), a trend of increasing cleanliness graph is seen along with the increasing concentration of rich MEG entering the MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU). Based on the calculation of the MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) performance value, the average MEG Reclaiming Unit (MRU) performance value in September 2021 is 88.04% and the average in October 2021 is 91.93%.
