Abstract

Calibration is one of the series in the maintenance of the pressure vacuum relief valve (PVRV), calibrating is to adjust the opening pressure of the pressure vacuum relief valve according to the provisions. The research objective was to determine the ratio of disc assembly weight per setting pressure. The research object is a pressure vacuum relief valve unit with the brand VAREC, Model 2021B24TFR00404, Size inlet 2 "150 RF outlet 3" 150 RF. The research was conducted by observing variations in the weight of the disc assembly 0.344 kg, 1,600 kg, 5368 kg, using a Fluck Multifunction calibrator pump and a pressure measuring device using a digital CRYSTAL pressure gauge. Based on the research results, it shows that the disc assembly weight of 0.344 kg reaches a setting pressure of 0.0063 bar, disc assembly weight 1,600 kg reaches setting pressure 0.0293 bar, disc assembly weight 5,368 kg reaches setting pressure 0,983 bar. The calculation result of the ratio in each test is constant 45, 603 kg per 1 bar setting pressure.
